With the new foldable iPhone (iPhone Duo) launching October 23, I wanted to ask about Thunkable’s plans for supporting it.

From what I can tell, existing App Store apps will still run on the device automatically, just in a letterboxed mode with black borders around the app instead of filling the inner foldable screen. To actually use the full display, an app has to be built with the iOS 27.1 SDK (Xcode 27.1), which Apple just opened for submissions.

So my question is about the roadmap. Is Thunkable planning to adopt the iOS 27.1 SDK, and is there any rough timeline for when we would be able to build foldable optimized apps? I understand this is brand new and not urgent since our apps still function, but I wanted to raise it early so it is on the radar, and so other developers searching for this have a place to follow along.

Thanks, and happy to share anything useful I come across on the Apple side.
