I am coming from the MIT App Inventor background and planning to use Thunkable from now as I need to develop for iOS as well.

I want to use the File component under Storage before. In Thunkable I am not seeing that component. I want to read data from a file.

Pl help me if I miss something… Thank you.

Hi @bmraj and welcome to Thunkable! 👋

At the moment that only local files you can access on the device are through the [photo library](https://docs.thunkable.com/photo-library) component and you can also retrieve cloud-based resources with the [MediaDB component.](https://docs.thunkable.com/media-db)

Can you tell us a little more about the app that you are trying to build?
