# If I use gmail logo will I get a copy right?

I have few gmail logos that I’m using as share mail button background but my friend says I might get copyrighted is she right?

I can only find information on Google Drive branding policies and it links back to the link above. I’m sure Gmail does considering the link above says “use OUR logos”.

Yes but then under it says if you have permission use our logos like these
And it shows how to use “GOOGLE” and how not to use “G” but nothing about gmail …

[https://www.google.com/permissions/trademark/logos-list/](https://www.google.com/permissions/trademark/logos-list/) this also links to how to use the logo. They can’t make an example for everything. You can take what Google says however you think it is.
If it was me I would contact Google or take what they say on their [Logo Trademarks Website](https://www.google.com/permissions/logos-trademarks/).

Why not just replace the icon with a regular one to make sure? I don’t think it is worthwhile to get this approved and also having to include their (pretty long) disclaimer
