# How to link the bottom navigator to the taking photos function

How do I enable the function where pressing on the scan from the bottom navigator to opening up the camera to take photos?

You can’t. A navigator button/tab is going to navigate to a different screen. It can’t be used for an event (other than navigate).

Instead, create a button and assign it a camera block.
