# How to get a number from airtable?

when I try to get a number from airtable like 312 (i can use it for mathematic operations) instead of the string “312” it just gives me the latter  
my codes

in case you are wondering what happens to the old code, i am trying to revamp it so that it no longer is hard code.

To convert a string to a number, add zero to it using a math block.
