# How do you use the Email Sign In By Firebase component?

How do use the Email Sign In By Firebase component because when I use it, I connect Thunkable with API Key and Database URL from Firebase and I use the sign in/up blocks correctly. I use things like below. Can you please help me figure out why it is saying “Invalid API key, please make sure you have typed it correctly”?

It will give you **Invalid API key** message even if the problem is in the Database URL.

Check that both are correct.

Did you enter into Thunkable the **Web API Key** shown in your Firebase console under “Project settings” → “General”?
