It should, that’s why I’m suggesting that you use the sample sketch first to check one think at a time. Perhaps your LCD module requires too much current and that’s what’s causing the issue? Maybe you should specify the baud rate earlier in your thunkable code? There are lots of places where an error could be occurring so the best thing to do is make the whole system as simple as possible. Once you’ve managed to transfer one byte from phone to Arduino then you can scale up and try for multiple bytes of information.

#85

I will try it tomorrow. Too much for me today. Bye! :smiley:

hi mr. ILoveThunkable
I am from Indonesia, how to use or change serial baudrate.?
plaese upload your extension. thank you sir.

#87

The extension has been developed by @pavi2410. Here is the link;
Arduino USB Serial Extension

#88

Thanks for reminding me! I will finish this extension by today itself.

#89

Version 4 Released!

Changelog:

  • Added a new icon
  • IsOpen is back!
  • Toasts have been removed completely

Arduino.aix (131.6 KB)

@pavi2410 @Domhnall Thank you sir.

I’m still a beginner

#91

With your tutorial I have an error when I launch the app:

Runtime Error: com/physicaloid/lib/usb/driver/uart/UartFtdi - end application

I think It is necessary to implement all the usb librarys in the extension

#93

What is the make and model of board are you using?

#94

I have some arduino mini pro 5v and 3.3v with the FTDI USB adapter (model FT232RL)
other serial monitor apps are OK
I’ve also some arduino micro with ch340 USB driver, in this case only this app is ok: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.moonappdevelopers.usbterminal

#95

I will see if I can manage to get other updated library

Possibly this one

#96

THANKS A LOT :slight_smile:

#97

@ILoveThunkable @pavi2410

How about without arduino board

example : FTDI usb to ttl > gsm module or hc-05 bluetooth module or wifi module that requires AT Command

#98

Ask @pavi2410 for this. He made this extension, not us. He would help you and answer to your question. :slight_smile:

#99

Thank you sir.
I am still a newbie and still new to the discussion like this, forgive me :slight_smile:

There is problem.

"… caught exception in inliner for # - java.lang.RuntimeException: no such class: com.pavitra.Arduino
gnu.bytecode.ObjectType.getReflectClass(ObjectType.java:179) … "

[Bug] Deleting extension results in an internal error message, can't compile
#101

I suppose it occurs in Thunkable Live app. It shouldn’t occur after the app is compiled to an apk .
It is not an issue with the extension .
It is recommended to restart the Thunkable Live app and reconnect after importing any extension.

#102

Happens when I try to compile. on Thunkable it works.

Doesn’t work. I am using official Arduino Uno R3 with pre-included USB cable. I copied a whole @Domhnall project + code too + circuit. Nothing! It does not work… :frowning:
