# "Firebase Connection issue: Check API key and Database URL."

I’m trying to connect Firebase to my Thunkable app, but I keep getting the error:

_“Firebase Connection issue: Check API key and Database URL.”_

It worked the first time and now just doesnt work for new projects created in firebase and the older one does not work either. I have followed all the steps as per the documents including the coding blocks.

Despite this, I still get the connection issue. Is there anything I might be missing? Any help would be appreciated!

I doubt that your API key changed so it’s mostly likely that your database URL changed. Double-check that in the Firebase console and in Thunkable.
