# Duplicated variables should have unique names

When you duplicate a variable’s Initialize block, the newly-created variable should have a unique name. Thunkable should avoid creating another variable with the exact same name which is currently the default behavior:

Changing this to a Feature Request as in general, this does seem like sound advice. Thanks for sharing, @tatiang! We’ll let you know if we’re able to get this implemented.
