# Date not showing the correct day

When I run this date, and then choose the date i want to use, but it show today’s date, what am i doing wrong

How are you choosing the date? Are you using a date picker? If so, you need to use the blocks associated with that component rather than the more generic Device blocks in your screenshot. Those Device blocks are going to return today’s date because that is the “current” date.

I am not sure how to get it to work, I have add call the date, but not sure what other blocks to use

You need to use the Date Picker’s get date blocks. They are shown in the documentation under the “Functions” heading: [Date Input - Thunkable Docs](https://docs.thunkable.com/date-input#functions)
