# Date input reduces UX a lot

I was using the Date input component in my thunkable app,  
My app is specially for old aged person,  
In my app, while registering, i take the Date of Birth of user, and since my app is for old aged, the minimum age of user will be greater than 40-50 years 🧐 🧐,  
And when i added date input for this purpose, i was shocked 😵‍💫 😵‍💫 😴 😴 while testing my app in my phone, it is showing today’s date, and we have to click left arrow to go one month ago,  
Now think yourself, if a person’s age is 80 years 🤔 🤔, how will it click so much. 🥲 🥲  
So, i request to please add a feature of typing in date input component for android, because its just like impossible task for user to click `80*12 = 960 times` 😅 😅
