# Data viewer list using item from folder on device

I need to make the data for a data viewer list come from a folder on the device. The name of the item on the data viewer list is the name of the image that is randomly selected from the folder to go on it to.

Data viewers can only grab information from a [data source](https://docs.thunkable.com/getting-started/data-sources) (e.g. Local table, Google Sheet, Airtable, etc.). You won’t be able to just access system folders and pull the data from them like you’re describing.
