# Create row block should default to empty strings for missing values

Is there a reason that the Create Row block doesn’t by default use empty strings (“”) for any puzzle piece that is missing a block? For example, it’s going to be tedious for me to put all empty strings in each of these slots. Why not just make that the default?

What data source are you writing to? It _should_ do this already. I made a simple test on Google Sheets to confirm.

Oh. I guess I’ll need to double-check that. I had a row that wasn’t getting created in a Google Sheet and then saw someone else on the forums mention that the values needed to be set. But you’re probably right!

It does work with blanks. Sorry about that! Thanks for confirming it should work without values.
