Copy from screen1 to screen2

#1

I am working on an app which will have three screens. Screen1 contains label1, textbox1 and an ok button. When the OK button is pressed, screen2 becomes visible. Screen2 contains label2, textbox2 , OK and label2a. When screen1 OK pressed, screen2 become visible. How do I get screen1.textbox1 into screen2.label2? Screen3 will be similar to screen2, so I will need to be able to put screen1.textbox1 into screen3.label3 as well.

What about the syntax for text manipulation? This would be in a procedure. A string of 10 characters (from Textbox1) needs to be separated by the location of the character. IE the text is
ABCDEFGHIJ, where the letter C is 3, the letter H is 8.

A very good way to learn App Inventor is to read the free Inventor’s Manual here in the AI2 free online eBook http://www.appinventor.org/book2 … the links are at the bottom of the Web page. The book ‘teaches’ users how to program with AI2 blocks.
There is a free programming course here http://www.appinventor.org/content/CourseInABox/Intro and the aia files for the projects in the book are here: http://www.appinventor.org/bookFiles
