Community Guidelines

(updated October 2023)

Welcome to the Thunkable Community!

We are excited to welcome you to this wonderful community of Thunkers dedicated to building the best apps possible and sharing their expertise with the world! Please be sure to read the following Community Guidelines to help create the best experience for all Thunkers in our Community.

Thunkable Community Forum Posting Guidelines

In order for all Thunkers to have a helpful, collegial and collaborative experience, we’ve created a few guidelines to make our Community a great place for discussion.

Search.

Before starting a new topic or post, please use the search feature in the top right of the forum to see if a fellow Thunker has already started a relevant discussion that you can contribute to. Please note, duplicate topics may be merged with existing topics or removed by our Community moderators.

Thunkable is always evolving and improving, and the way something worked in the past may not be the way it works now. If you do find a relevant post but it’s a few years old, try the solution there first but post a new topic if that does not work.

For specific billing or account issues, please send an email to billing@thunkable.com. We are unable to assist with most account and payment related questions via the Community.

Make your posts easy to read and concise.

Help other Thunkers get the most of your post by being concise, clear and to the point. Please do not use ALL CAPS or excessive emoticons and only include relevant URLs (posts with excessive or unsolicited URLs will be removed).

If you are using AI to help answer a question, make sure the information from that source is accurate and up-to-date.

Please do not @mention individual members of the Community when creating a new question.

Show your work

If you’re asking about a specific problem, it can be helpful to include screenshots of your blocks or a short video of your app in action (we like Loom for screen recordings).

If you want to share your actual project, you are welcome to do so. We also understand that you might not be comfortable doing this–only share your project if you are okay with others seeing it.

Remember when people respond to your posts, they are doing YOU a favor.

Be patient and help your fellow Thunkers out by posting good descriptions of what you need help with or information that you are sharing. Respond kindly and in a timely manner to those that provide you with valuable information.

Don’t forget to say “Thank You” by leaving a like on helpful responses and mark a topic as “Solved” if someone successfully answers your question.

Remain respectful at all times.

All posts must remain professional and courteous. No swearing allowed. Every Thunker has a right to their own opinion and every Thunker also has the right to disagree with fellow Thunkers or actions Thunkable takes as long as they clearly explain their perspective in a kind and respectful manner. Attacking, insulting, or belittling will not be tolerated and may result in suspension of the offender’s posting privileges.

Who may participate?

Everyone! We would like every one of our Thunkers to contribute to the forum to grow the Thunkable Community. Helping each other will allow everyone to continuously build and improve their mobile apps! Only topics related to app building on the Thunkable platform and mobile app development best practices will be permitted, and individuals who abuse this may have their community permissions suspended.

Choose the most appropriate category for your topics/posts.

To allow fellow Thunkers to most easily find and respond to your posts, please use the appropriate category. Do not post the same discussion in multiple categories. Content that is posted multiple times will be removed so please post once in the appropriate category.

Please do not reply to and re-open a post that has been locked. Please create a new post.

Create topics and posts related to the category.

Posts that are completely unrelated will be removed.

Posts that do not follow the above guidelines are subject to removal by a moderator.

Happy THUNKing!
