# Click and highlight items in a list

I feel like this is a questions that comes up every now and then, and one that we already made a tutorial for (but I can’t see to find it in the Community anywhere? 🤷‍♂️)

The general idea is that you have a list of items and each time you click on an item it gets highlighted.

There are a number of demos under the name “drop down menu” or “spinner” but they are all a little different than what you shared. Looks useful!

This is my version of highlighting a row. This is using DVL and painting/coloring the selected row.
