Hi,

I made an in-app browser to open links in the app I’m currently making. However, I can’t get the Text Input to recognize whether the text is a normal phrase or a URL. I already tried to implement the existing solution on the forum:

([[Thunkable Classic] Checkif text is an url](https://community.thunkable.com/t/check-if-text-is-an-url/11617)

 ![Screenshot 2021-02-06 at 7.37.15 PM](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex015/uploads/thunkable/original/3X/7/8/78e506c4a9bf7950dca93d003d4bd9bcbf979b49.png)

Whenever i type a URL on the textbook then it will just result in an error:

 ![Screenshot 2021-02-06 at 7.42.41 PM](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex015/uploads/thunkable/original/3X/3/f/3f0158b15ac2fdd62928936e5cf2487090bf8416.png)

Would anyone mind to tell me what went wrong? 😅

Thanks,
Haziq

Can you try something like [www.google.com](http://www.google.com)?
What is the response from your app?

Hi, sorry for taking long to respond!

In fact, that is what I typed ([google.com](http://google.com)) in the Text Input just like in the screenshot, and it still gives the -1100 error! It’s so confusing. The blocks are correct, right?

You need to test by typing [https://www.google.com](https://www.google.com)

If this works then use [www.google.com](http://www.google.com)

And so on. Make sure you do not add any space in front of the name or at the end of it.
