# Character Movement from anywhere on canvas

I want to be able to press anywhere on the screen and have my character move. If i touch near the bottom of my screen and drag my finger to the right, I want the sprite to move to the right the same amount as well.

If I place my finger on the red circle and move it to the right, I want the purple sprite to move the same direction my finger went(purple arrow).

There is no way to do this in Thunkable. It surprises me that there is a Canvas feature and yet no swipe detection.

Please add a comment to this feature request: [Swipe detection event block · Issue #1055 · thunkable/thunkable-issues · GitHub](https://github.com/thunkable/thunkable-issues/issues/1055). The more comments the staff see, the more likely it is they will consider adding it to the product.
