# Can you store data in thunkable without using cloud variables?

Hello My name is Tareq and I am trying to make an app where it stores digits and you have to login to see your digit. I want to make this app without using cloud variables.

You can save data to a local data source (table) or to individual stored variables. You do not have to use cloud variables.

is it possible to upload a text doc or pdf rather than tables?

No. You can copy and paste fairly long text strings into a stored variable though.
