# \[Bug\] Setting Video Component's Video to "null" or "" crashes the app

Just a heads-up to anyone who uses the video component.

I set the video component’s video to “null” in one of my apps to make sure an old video wasn’t loaded up the next time I set the component to be visible, but the app started crashing over the weekend and it took me about 6 hours to track down the problem.

It seems setting the video component’s video to “null” now crashes an app. This may not be something one does much, but I wanted to post this in case it saves someone out there many hours of debugging.

Good to know. I always set video/audio filenames to an empty string ("").

Noted @leeristhkfpe4 . I have submitted this as a bug report. Please use the empty url `https://`"instead of `null` to achieve the same effect.
