# Bluetooth LE connection status?

Hello ,

I am testing Thunkable actualy, and i am using Bluetooth LE connection with my phone and an ESP32.  
the connection works dans I can exchange data (Strings) between my phone and ESP without trouble.

when I connect phone to ESP, I want to secure the data exchange.  
I would like to check the status of BLE connection and send alert if the connection drop.  
I can’t find how to manage that.  
anyone could peraph get the answer ?

You could ping the device regularly and always check for errors. Would that work in this case?

yes that’s could works, but how can i do that ?

I know I can use the timer but what block I could use to ping the device ?
