Hello, I require support for PDF417 barcode type in the barcode reader for my app to work. Please advise if this can be enabled. Thank you!

Hey @muaazteladia, welcome to the community!

Can you tell us a little more about PDF417 codes and why you need this functionality in your app please?

What happens at the moment when you try to scan on of these codes?

Hi @domhnallohanlon,

Thank you for your response. I want to make an app for courier management which requires the use of PDF417 barcodes. Without the ability to scan these barcodes it is not possible to build the app, I have tried work arounds like using the camera to send the image to a server via api to decode but its not effective and user friendly.

Since you guys use goqr for your barcode/qr code scanning it does nothing (just opens camera to scan and doesn’t recognize anything) as that service only supports qr codes and a few barcodes, the component should be called qr scanner instead of barcode scanner as that is the main feature.

Hope you can implement something to support PDF417 barcodes so I can create my app.
