How to set up app-ads.txt for your apps

  1. If you haven’t already, create an app-ads.txt file using the spec provided by IAB Tech Lab.
  2. Copy and paste the following code snippet into your app-ads.txt file:

google.com, pub-xxxxxxxxxxxxx, DIRECT, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  1. Publish your app-ads.txt on the root of your developer website (for example, sampledomain.com/app-ads.txt). Make sure that the domain is entered exactly as listed on Google Play or the App Store.
  2. Wait at least 24 hours for AdMob to crawl and verify your app-ads.txt file.
  3. Come back to AdMob and check your app-ads.txt status.

Please, help me :pray::pray:

Hi there @nageh @doctorsof @alovea1000000 :wave:

App-ads.txt is something AdMob strongly recommends to its partners, and essentially allows them to self-identify as the sole owner of their ad inventory to avoid unauthorized (spammy) sellers taking over their account.

Use of app-ads.txt is not mandatory, but is highly recommended, especially if you are concerned that others may be spoofing your app.

Implementation of app-ads.txt is much like that of a privacy policy. Simply upload an app-ads.txt file to your developer website. You will need to setup the app-ads.txt on the root directory of the website listed on the Android Play Store or iOS App Store used for distributing the apps, to specify authorized sellers.

Google have a more in-depth article about this here.

Using app-ads.txt will not negatively affect your adMob relationship with Thunkable.

Thanks,
Domhnall
